Our goals are backed by science.

Mubea qualifies its sustainability goals according to the Science Based Targets initative (SBTi)

It is Mubea's concern to have our own sustainability goals scientifically verified. For this purpose, we cooperate with an initiative called SBTi. Here you can find more details about the work with SBTi.

The urgency for profound sustainability measures is tangible

In the face of one of humanity's most pressing challenges, limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius stands as a paramount objective for safeguarding our planet's future. To navigate this perilous course successfully, resolute and far-reaching actions are imperative. We need those measures that can usher in a transformative impact. The urgency of the situation demands a rapid global effort to drastically reduce emissions.

Moreover, an unrelenting commitment to achieve the net-zero emissions target well ahead of the critical 2050 deadline.

The path towards mitigating global warming is a collective journey that requires the unison of nations, organizations, and individuals alike. Only by fostering a collaborative global effort can we effectively address the complex web of challenges posed by climate change. Collaborative initiatives must be forged, promoting knowledge exchange, technological innovation, and financial support to ensure that every nation is equipped to contribute to this shared goal.

To curtail the rising tide of global temperatures, bold and rapid action is non-negotiable. Policymakers, businesses, and citizens must embrace innovative emission reduction strategies that target various sectors, including energy, transportation, agriculture, and industry. Investment in renewable energy sources, energy-efficient technologies, and sustainable practices is indispensable to pave the way for a greener and more sustainable future.

About the Science Based Targets initiative

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a global body enabling businesses to set ambitious emissions reductions targets in line with the latest climate science. It is focused on accelerating companies across the world to halve emissions before 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions before 2050.

The initiative is a collaboration between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and one of the We Mean Business Coalition commitments. The SBTi defines and promotes best practice in science-based target setting, offers resources and guidance to reduce barriers to adoption, and independently assesses and approves companies’ targets.
