Load Testing of Spring Stacks

The deviation in force between the characteristic loading and unloading curves is tested using a spring stack consisting of 10 individual springs arranged in series. The springs must by assembled on a guide rod as noted in menu disc spring combinations.

During the stacking process, the individual springs must be arranged on the guide rod facing left and right creating the maximum amount of friction. This does not apply to special sizes, where the centre of inversion, S, is situated below the plane described by the corner circle II. In this case refer to Patent No. 1 273 267 granted to Mubea. In such cases mutual agreement is required.

The pressure plates must meet the requirements mentioned in the previous section.

The spring stack must be compressed to at least Lo – 8 x ho. For Lo – 7,5 x ho the spring force measured during unloading must lie within the limits specified in Table A (Fig. B).
