General

Mubea disc springs are manufactured to meet the most demanding requirements for fatigue life with a minimum amount of relaxation. These properties are highly influenced by the choice of material. For standard applications the spring materials Ck 67 and 50 CrV 4 are used. These materials are very economical and therefore commonly used for springs in Group 1 (Ck 67) and in Group 2 and 3 (50 CrV 4).

Furthermore, special materials can be used for special applications requiring

» high corrosion resistance
» low-/high temperature operation and
» antimagnetic properties.

The special properties of the materials used at Mubea are shown in the tables we provide for download here (in German only):

In general it should be noted that the moduli of elasticity shown in Tables 5.1 and 5.3 are experimentally obtained values, which are only for guidance. They indicate how the spring characteristics change as the operating temperature rises above room temperature.

Table 5.2 lists the chemical composition of the materials used by Mubea.
